1040 Connections—Directors
are Chad and Leslie Segraves. 10/40 Connections cultivates global community by
equipping believers and by engaging in innovative ministries that fight
injustice, empower children, and plant multiplying churches among the least
reached.
International
Mission Board (IMB)—President is David Platt. IMB’s mission is evangelizing,
discipling and planting reproducing churches among all peoples in fulfillment
of the Great Commission. IMB’s vision is for a multitude from every language,
people, tribe and nation knowing and worshipping our Lord Jesus Christ. At the
present time, there are almost 5000 fulltime IMB missionaries all over the
world. There are 7.2 billion people in the world. Over 3000 unreached people
groups
North American Mission
Board (NAMB)—President is Kevin Ezell. The North America Mission Board help
pastors and churches more effectively engage the mission field in the United
States, Canada and beyond. Since 2011 NAMB has seen an increasing number of
churches and individuals become more directly involved in church planting and
other missions efforts through our Send North America strategy. This effort
revolves around the priority of planting new evangelistic churches—especially
in the unreached and underserved areas such as large cities and regions outside
the South.
Hawaii Pacific
Baptist Convention (HPBC)— Executive Director is Chris Martin. HPBC has
about 150 churches spread throughout Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, South Pacific, Japan,
Korea with the task of fulfilling the
Great Commission and reaching this area for Jesus.
Oahu Baptist
Network (OBN) — Director/Facilitator is Robert Miller. 70 churches on Oahu.
The Oahu Baptist Network is a cooperative organization of Baptist churches on
Oahu focused on improving church health, developing effective leadership, and
encouraging churches to join in ministry partnerships.
The Gospel
Coalition Hawaii. As group of island churches, united by the Gospel
Coalition Confessional Statement and Theological Vision for Ministry, which
details a gospel-driven approach to individual and church life. Our goal is to
multiply gospel-centered churches across the islands and around the world. Our
strategy has three parts:
CONNECT pastors and leaders through fellowship and
networking events. BUILD leaders and churches through training events and
conferences.EQUIP leaders to multiply new gospel-centered ministries and
churches.
Baptist Collegiate
Ministries—Arjay Gruspie is Director. Ministry that reaches college
students with the Gospel. Pray for BCM as it prepares to reach college students
this upcoming school year. Weekly worship services average 100 students.
Throughout the year, BCM does evangelism, missions, ministry, Bible Studies,
etc.
International
Ministries—Carlye Lawrence is the Director. Ministry that reaches
international students with the Gospel. International Ministries coordinates
churches and people to not only reach international students but also to equip
international students with the Gospel. International Ministries provide weekly
lunches to over 200 students, Bible Studies, English Classes, student pick up
and drop off, ministry, missions, etc.
Puu Kahea
Conference Center—Jimmy and Ashley Tucker direct the conference center.
Pray for the Tuckers and the Conference Center as it prepares for a busy
summer, that God would continue to provide volunteers/workers, and that Puu
Kahea will continue to be used to spread the Gospel and raise leaders in
Hawaii.
Churches
Olanui Church—Thank
God or the graciousness they have extended to Citywide. Pray for continued
impact with the Gospel in the Kakaako area. Pray for growth and favor.
Pawaa Church
(Pastor Arjay Grusie)—Pray for continued growth and effectiveness in
reaching the next generation with the Gospel. Pray for Pawaa Church as it
continues to raise up leaders.
Waianae Baptist
Church—Pastor Bryan Wittekind resigned to accept a pastorate in Kentucky.
Pray for the church as it transitions. Pray for WBC to gain greater vision to
reach the Leeward side with the Gospel.
West Oahu
Community Church (Pastor Dave Hockney)—this church will be closing its
doors on June 19. Pray for this transition and for those who are impacted. WOCC
has had many years of Gospel impact in the Kapolei area.
Harbor Church
(Pastor Matt Dirks)—pray for Harbor Church to continue to be strong as it
continues to be a force for the Gospel movement in Hawaii.
Rock Spring
Baptist Church in NC (Pastor Gary Brummit)—pray for this church. The church
desires to partner with Citywide. Pray for growth and outreach in the
surrounding areas of Townsville, NC.
The Gathering—Pray
for The Gathering as we look to transition to two campuses. This is exciting
but will also be very challenging. Pray for lots of wisdom, patience and
strength. Pray that we become an effective Gospel lighthouse here in Hawaii.
Citywide—Pray
for whatever comes to mind
Missions
Belarus Team—the
team will be in Belarus teaching English and doing evangelism. Please pray for the
team as it prepares for this very important mission trip. Also, the team needs
to raise $5000 more. Pray that every penny would be provided.
